Client, family and referral guide
The approach, the method, who Meghan works with, and how coaching sits alongside clinical care.
Meghan Michalski is an executive function coach and mentor. She is not a therapist, counselor, psychologist, or medical provider, and she does not diagnose, treat, or provide therapy. Coaching is educational, organizational, and skills-based. It is not a substitute for clinical care and is not a crisis service.

01 · Welcome
Ambitura blends Ambition with Nature (natura) — honoring who you are internally and externally to build a foundation of stability, readiness, and purposeful momentum toward meaningful goals.
Sustainable growth does not come from a one-size-fits-all formula. Whether you are navigating a major transition, building a creative venture, or seeking steadier daily footing, the work begins by meeting your mind exactly where it is.
Work with your natural rhythms and wiring.
Build clarity, attention, and steady structure.
Move toward meaningful milestones.
Meghan is highly specialized at managing complex cases. Where she differentiates is her ability to provide an interdisciplinary network and advanced coaching for those with niche talents and unique challenges.
02 · How Meghan works
Rather than prescribing generic checklists, Meghan learns how you think, plan, and take in information, then adapts organizational concepts, planning workflows and problem-solving strategies to fit the way you perceive and understand things.
Meghan’s work is built on relatability, trust and genuine rapport. Sessions are a calm, supportive, non-judgmental space where strengths are nourished and roadblocks are met with curiosity.
Evidence-informed attention-training techniques alongside varied meditation and mindfulness practices, which aim to support self-awareness and concentration and to make planning and follow-through easier to hold onto day to day.
Executive function is also the engine of creation. Meghan integrates a writing and creative-process method that aims to loosen perfectionism, support confidence, and turn abstract ideas into structured execution.
The goal: long-term self-sufficiency
Clients begin by putting new strategies into practice with close, guided support. Over time Meghan aims to support confidence, fluency with the skills, and an understanding of why they help — with the aim that you can carry them out independently.
03 · Your coach
Meghan Michalski, MA (she/her) is an executive function and creative strategy coach and mentor with more than ten years of experience spanning psychological research, graduate study in clinical psychology, public health and education. She serves clients in New York and online.
As a researcher, she has studied the effects of executive functioning strategies on emotion regulation, and the effectiveness of adapted cognitive-behavioral therapies in reducing anxiety and depression within the LGBTQ+ community. Her work sits at the intersection of theory and research on organizational and socio-emotional strategies, with the goal of nourishing strengths and cultivating long-term self-sufficiency. She also teaches writing using cognitive strategies that aim to support confidence and executive function through the creative process.
Outside her practice Meghan lives in a quiet mountain cottage in the woods, where she is a writer, a rock climber and an avid reader of science fiction and fantasy. Read more about Meghan.

Structuring ideas for written expression, professional advocacy and presentations.
Working through procrastination with realistic, low-friction daily rhythms.

05 · What is included
Real life happens between scheduled appointments. Coaching is structured to wrap around the week with responsive support, practical digital tools, and coordination with the clinicians and family already supporting you.
Standing, deep-dive executive function and creative strategy sessions, with length and frequency set to your preference. Monthly review calls of up to 30 minutes are included in the core structure, alongside higher-frequency daily or weekly check-ins built around your coaching plan.
Direct text and email access between sessions, with a response within 24 to 48 hours, for troubleshooting schedules, reviewing drafts or recalibrating daily priorities. Email is not a secure channel, so please keep clinical details out of it.
An off-hours line for time-sensitive coaching needs, such as a sudden schedule change or an urgent need to re-strategize. Meghan is glad to offer support between sessions, but this is not a crisis or emergency service.
Real-world energy and schedule shifts are part of the work. Same-day reschedules are free of charge whenever the rescheduled session takes place within the 24 hours following your original session time.
Comprehensive progress reports compiled every four to six weeks and shared with you and — with your written authorization — with family and with the clinicians supporting you, so that everyone stays aligned.
Access to selected software and media subscriptions, to take friction out of your workflow: Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Cloud, Obsidian, Waking Up, MasterClass, and The New Yorker and Wired. Custom requests are welcome.
Direct access to Meghan’s curated network of allied organizational, educational, physical wellness, mental wellness and creative coaches, for when specialized auxiliary support would help.
06 · Alongside your clinicians
With a signed Release of Information, Meghan works with the support team a client already has: treating psychiatrists, psychologists and psychotherapists, academic advisors, workplace managers, and parents or caregivers.
Licensed clinicians provide diagnosis and treatment. Meghan provides the practical, between-session coaching that helps turn insight into everyday routines. Clinicians can read more about working alongside Meghan, and about how the coaching itself works.
Parents and caregivers are part of the support team around the client, alongside the client themselves. With written authorization, coaching progress reports can be shared with family and with a client’s clinicians, so that everyone supporting them stays aligned. More for parents and caregivers.
A note on confidentiality
Coaching is not therapy, and coaching conversations are not covered by therapist–client or physician–patient privilege. Meghan shares information with family or clinicians only with the client’s written permission, except where required by law.
If you need urgent help
If you or someone you know is in crisis, call or text 988, or call 911 in an emergency.
07 · Referrals and enquiries
Coaching with Meghan is a one-to-one relationship that continues over the long term at a regular cadence, rather than a fixed-length program. Sessions are offered virtually and in person.
Whether you are asking for yourself, for someone in your family, or about a client you are referring, email Meghan at meg.e.michalski@gmail.com. She will arrange a conversation to talk through whether coaching suits that person and, for a referral, how coordination with you would work. Email is not a secure channel, so please keep clinical details out of it. Information is shared with you only with the client’s written permission, except where required by law.
